We're Still Here!

What a week it has been! Alec didn't make it to his last day of school, but I did take him in during the last hour to say his "good-byes" and empty out his desk. We went up-north the very next day for the weekend & my B-Day (new post pending), but he still isn't feeling well. Tomorrow Jeff and I are working a game at our stake's Youth Conference ALL DAY LONG, but before I go I'm taking Alec back to the doctor...I think this stubborn virus has now turned into a strep infection. I will be writing a post very soon on the incompetence of general practitioners.

Hannah will hold down the fort tomorrow at home while Riley, Jeff and I are gone AGAIN...we need to stop saying "yes" to everything. In order to keep my sanity, I'm going to think about our lovely weekend we had at Crystal Lake.


Update: Alec has mono. I ended up up taking him to the doctor Friday morning. His throat looked awful! Strep was ruled out & a steroid was prescribed to help his swollen tonsils. Ugh. No wonder it was mono - he has been sick since June 2nd! A negative in-house mono test last week was what delayed the diagnosis. I still was able to catch the afternoon sessions of youth conference to help Jeff. We even managed to squeeze a date in on the way home - dinner at our favorite Thai restaurant in downtown Birmingham.
