Tribute to My Hero!

Fall is a season of change! In Michigan, the falling leaves, a bee-hive of activity at Long's Orchard, and the UofM/MSU game are all gentle reminders that its almost half way to Christmas ~ and we just headed back to school ;-(. I've come to the conclusion that time is indeed moving faster the older I get!

Fall has another signal in the Day home...IT'S PRIMARY PROGRAM TIME! Unless my count is wrong, this is Amy's 4th program as President, and we've lost count in terms of other's she's participated in...but I'm confident its at least 7!

Amy has mastered the program process! Most people may not realize that the Primary President takes the theme and literally creates the program from the ground up. Despite HOURS of tireless preparation, she and her presidency + musical helpers, make it appear like riding a bike. What could possibly more difficult than managing dozens of young children in a singing and speaking program for 50 minutes. I can't think of much!

And all the while she's doing this...she's a devoted friend, busy mother, and loving wife! I'm proud of Amy! She approaches her challenges and opportunities with such a great attitude. I wish I could be more like her. She's my hero and I love her very much.

For those in town or who don't go to our church, I want to invite you to come and see the fruits of her labors on Sunday, October 24 @ 9AM at our Church. It's one of our annual season change reminders and I promise it will be worth the trip!

She is my hero too! I don't know how she does it all, and then always seems to have enough energy to do even more. I love you Amy! :) Mom

Again, I would like to change my comment to say Kathy Facione, but can't seem to be able to do that! So, I guess I really am Walled Lake Recipes until I can figure it out! :)

Hats off to Amy Ling! She is amazing and makes the juggle of motherhood look effortless. I love that she always knows just the right thing to say to keep things in the right perspective.

I'm sure the program will be a roaring success!!

Looking forward to seeing the Pri/Pro. starring Alec and Ian. (Will there be other children in this ... not that Grandpa and I will notice !)

A big Whoot to Amy and Melanie (and Primary Presidents and music people everywhere) for their hard work ! And a bigger Whoot to the Primary children who pull it off every year no matter how bad the rehearsal went ! Could it be that the "Lord loves the little children" ?

(I am having a little memory of Riley's 1st Pri/Pro and the stamp ... :o) )
