Too *COLD* for School

We got a call this morning at 5:55 am - no school today. The reason? It's too cold outside. Minus 9 degrees, to be exact! It's so cold outside, the dog won't even go near the door, for fear we'll make her go outside to do her duties.

So, we are going to hibernate today. Here's what is on my agenda for the day:
  • Eat a bowl of Fruit Loops for breakfast...yup, did you know your body burns more calories when you are cold because it has to work harder to stay warm? Bring on the carbs!!
  • Work on & finish the family calendar.
  • Watch "Lost" from Wednesday night on my TiVo.
  • Final preparations for tomorrow's primary activity.
  • Embrace my messy house...until Monday.

Ahhh! That's so cold! I got an e-mail today from Walled Lake School District telling us school was closed. I sould probably be taken off their list.

Stay warm...drink lots of hot cocoa!

This morning we woke up and it as 10 degrees. The coldest it has been here in a long time.

Hunker in and eat those Fruit loops and enjoy the time together.
We, in the meantime, will not mention anything about our temps or warm sun and we will pray that you furnace and water heater stay healthy and in good working order!

I'm so sorry. Our temp was only about 100 degrees warmer than your "real feel" temp.

So, just start a fire and hope for an early spring (or come visit us).

I saw on the news that it was so cold your flesh would freeze if exposed to those temps in 10 minutes!

Enjoy the beauty & the fruit loops!
