So, I have this magnetic meal-planning pad that has been very neatly stuck to the side of my fridge for the last six months. I really don't know why I bothered to buy it because I'm not the meal-planning kind of person. I can't stick to a schedule like that because "what if tuna casserole doesn't sound good to me on Thursday?" I guess I bought it thinking that I could be changed. It didn't work.
Anyhow, it has been driving Hannah CRAZY that I haven't been using it. So, I suggested to her that she could make a meal-plan for me. Here's what she came up with (word for word, I couldn't make this stuff up if I tryed!):
MONDAY: Mashed potatos and gravy (hay stacks)
TUESDAY: Chicken Pop Pie, Chocolate Chip Cookies
WEDNESDAY: Hashbrowns, Omelets, Raspberry muffins
THURSDAY: Cream and Potato Soup! Cornbread.
FRIDAY: Enchilatas and rice
SATURDAY: Go to El Patio
SUNDAY: Have dinner with Chum!
If you're wondering, "Chum" is the what the girls have been calling my Mom lately, which will be the subject of an entirely new post.

i'm impressed! my girls would never ask for pot pie, soup, or mashed potatoes! those are the foods that i have to force down their little throats! :) so are you going to stick to the plan?

I'll hire you too, Hannah! Thinking of the meals is the hardest part of my shopping trips too. Nothing ever sounds as good again, lol! Chicken Pop Pies sound delish though!

Nice work. I'm a meal planner, but I don't necessarily make what it says to that day. As long as I have everything I need for those 7 meals, I can mix it up a bit. And Tuna casserole usually doesn't sound good on Thursday, or Monday or any other day of the week.
I want to have dinner with Chum, too! ;)
Don't forget those Raspberry muffins!! That girl must be a "Day" cuz she's got all her "sides" covered!

I think Hannah is going to make the best mom. She is great with her younger siblings, she likes everyone to be happy and she can plan a menu! Hannah you are awesome and we miss you so much.
