14 Miles -- DOWN!

Yikes. Now is about the time my body keeps reminding me, "...why exactly are you doing this?." I wasn't fully ready for this run but knew I needed to knock it out on Friday in advance of our Weekend trip to Cheboygan/Indian River (those photos and story to follow in another post). I was VERY sore that afternoon and evening and on in to the next day. My hip flexer injury from last year flared up again...but by Saturday night I was feeling just fine again. Its hard to get the mileage up. The weather was hot/muggy (mid 70's and about 60% humidity). Maybe this will get better as the summer progresses.

I'm off to Las Vegas this week for Cisco's Annual Sales Conference. I'll get my runs in this week and target a 16 miler this Saturday. If all goes well...I'm on my way to the Labor Day 30K (18.6 miles) for another milestone. We'll see where that goes. I'm looking forward to Vegas but not forward to being away from the family. This year Cisco has hired Aerosmith to come and play for us ;-). Should be, "...AMAZING..." as Steve Tyler says it.

Here's the Garmin log of the run. Ciao.
