It's bitterly cold outside today
and, oh, how I would love warm, summer sunshine
to bask in!
Last night, I put together a book of Riley's
senior pictures -
which were taken on a beautiful, warm August evening.
Here are some of my favorites...
Yesterday we accepted her admittance to
Southern Virginia University.
She is still on the fence about leaving us
but we are so proud of her and all that she has accomplished!!
We know that Riley
will be successful in all her endeavors,
no matter where life takes her.
As Dr. Seuss said so well,
"You're off to great places!
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting.
So...get on your way!"

I love the pix w/those bright little red shoes sticking out. And the "Guitar Attitude" shot will look good on her album cover ! :o)
SVU is perfect ... far enough and near enough, small enough and big enough, and close enough for grandparents to make a weekend visit ...
Oh my goodness, those pics make me all teary!! I'm just remembering the little girl playing with "smords"! She has grown into such a beauty, inside & out!!

Can't.stand.kids.leaving.home. She'll do awesome at SVU I'm sure! As much as I hate the leaving part, it's fun to see your kids excel and do just what you've raised them to do!
