Ian asked me the other day,
"Mom, why do we celebrate Halloween?
Why do we celebrate the gore??"
(Ha, ha!)
Even though I try to keep our Halloween decorations
more harvest-y than scary,
both of the boys would love more gore in the front yard!!
We invited the Davies', Goldman's and my parents
over on Halloween night for dinner & trick-or-treating.
I've made pepperoni rolls every year for Halloween
since I can remember (except for last year),
so I cranked out a huge batch of them for traditions sake
(in between my lunch duty at the middle school
The candy was ready at the door,
And Jeff set up our trunk-or-treat castle
out front...
Even Libby was ready for a night of barking
and eating stray candy off the floor.
I called this get-up a cross between a nerd
and a constipated Richard Simmons.
And of course,
Scott didn't disappoint!!

Look your grass is still green for Halloween! You had such a fun night I bet.
Was that Scott's little princess dressed as Batman?!? I love it!
I love Ian's observations! Hee-hee!! My kids are always disappointed when I don't "celebrate the Gore more", but I watched my sweet girls run up to a pavilion with fake severed heads hanging on it-- just for a piece of candy and thought-- this is such a WEIRD holiday!! Eeks!
Love Alyssa as Batman too! So cute. Looks like a delicious & fun night!!!
I am surprised Scott didn't get mugged (or killed) in that get-up.
We handed out candy at E&B's while they took Mario and Luigi out begging. I hope Erin posts their pix they were so cute.
