TEN on TUESDAY (Halloween Edition)

1. I have no idea who these people are.

2. Halloween was stretched out this year at our house...Trunk-Or-Treat on the 22nd...7/8th grade dance on the 28th...school parties on the 29th...and trick-or-treating on the 31st! Jeff & Alec won "Best Costume" at the ward Trunk-Or-Treat. They were both Elvis and Jeff had karaoke set-up in the back of our suburban. Nothing is ever given a "half-effort" from him!

(Riley didn't dress-up, but kept Jeff & Scott company through the neighborhood.)

3. "Bumblebee" the Transformer!

4. Another bumblebee. She won "Best Group Costume" at the ward party with 2 of her peeps that were also dressed as bees.

5. There are only a few people in this world that can pull-off an Elvis costume. Two of those people live under my roof.

6. Leslie & I made Alyssa's "Pebbles" costume. We couldn't stop laughing because it was basically a tube that we had to keep making bigger to fit over her belly & diaper-bum!

7. We carved pumpkins after church on Sunday. Each year, the kids design theirs on a piece of paper and then Jeff gets to work. This was the first year that Ian wanted a scary, instead of happy jack-o-lantern.

8. Breakfast the day before Halloween...thank you "Williams-Sonoma"!

9. We had our family pictures taken yesterday by our good friend & photographer Danielle Blazic. The kids had school off for election day, so we met at Mill Race Historical Park in Northville at 8:30 am!! We were fuh-reezing (30 degrees and no coats) but it was totally worth it. I can't wait to see the pics. I kept thinking of Mel & her family baking in their sweaters and 100 degree weather for their photo shoot in AZ. What a difference a few thousand miles makes!

10. With the day off, Hannah & Alec wanted to go to the roller skating rink for "Open Skate". I had major flashbacks of my mom dropping me off at "The World of Wheels" in Ann Arbor with my friends. They had so much fun...and I got a few hours to myself! Hannah told me that Alec won the "Screaming Contest" and got a free pop...what happened to "Crack the Whip" and "Couple's Skate?

11. I can't forget to share that Riley had a solo in her choir concert last week. She sang a verse of "Somebody to Love" by Queen. She has more guts than me, for sure!

I would have loved to see all the Halloween festivities at your house this year. Alec and Jeff just crack me up. Looks like fun was had by all.

I'd also love to hear Haley and Riley sing together. That would be awesome!
