Our Thanksgiving Chicken...

Today was the kindergarten Thanksgiving celebration for Ian's class - complete with a little play (where Ian played one of the "chickens", he called it), songs, and a huge Thanksgiving feast. Here's our little actor showing off his feathers.

Here's all of the turkey's in the coop...Ian's in the second row, farthest to the right. He was trying not to smile, kinda doing the sideways, closed-mouthed one.

After the play, they sang their little hearts out. They published a little book where each of the kids told how to get a turkey & prepare it. Here's what Ian said, "I would find a turkey in the woods and kill it with a gun. I would put it in the back of the truck and take it home. I would cook it on a fire outside my house for 7 minutes. Then we would eat it." He also wrote that he was thankful for "My baby that is healthy."...WHAT???

Following the program, we feasted! Each parent brought a dish to contribute and Ian wanted me to bring in his favorite - chocolate chip pumpkin muffins. Ian told me it was "the best day ever!"

I agree.

Officially the most adorable thing I've seen & heard this week! His turkey recipe??? HILARIOUS!!! I love the little chicken bums on the back of their costumes the most!

Extra hugs for Ian & his healthy baby. (ROFL!!!)

So cute. I might try his recipe this year. 7 minutes is much better than 4 hours. Take good care of his baby.
