"PICKY" Eater

Hannah has a track record of being friends with all the internationals at school. One of her best friends, Sonya Borkowski, is Polish. She was born here in the US, but her parents were born and raised in Poland. They are a very nice family and her mom, Eve, and I have become pretty good friends. I sometimes imagine that we both grew up at the same time, but in two totally different places and cultures on opposite sides of the world...but that is a topic for another post. Anyway (back to the blueberries), they are vegetarian and Eve couldn't believe that Hannah didn't like blueberries. She said that they were going to take Hannah blueberry picking and make a blueberry-eater out of her once and for all! However, she wanted to wait for a nice cool morning to go...which just so happened to be today.

So we met Eve, Sonya, and her little 3-year-old sister, Helen, at Spicer's Orchard and picked a whopping 5 pounds (each). Her kids were eating them right off the bushes like mine would inhale a bag of Doritoes, but by the end all 4 of mine were enjoying the berries and the company...

Tomorrow I'll post a picture of what the girls
and I did with all these blueberries...

I'm with Hannah on this one...not much of a blueberry fan! Although, fresh picked might be better.

We picked up blueberries on our getaway that were as big as grapes and so tasty ! So good for youwith all those omega 3's.

Cute old children's book called "Blueberries for Sal", too. Maybe Hannah would like those blueberries better.
