Scene 1: I pull up to the school, park the suburban, open my door, step out...
Scene 2: My feet slip right out from under me and I land flat on my rear end - "Help I've fallen and I can't get up!"
Scene 3: Hoist myself up, hoping no one saw me, and pain like I cannot describe right at my tailbone. I start crying, try to call Jeff and realize I need to pull myself together to go inside and get Ian...
Scene 4: Limp, limp, smile, smile, hobble, hobble...no one notices.
Scene 5: Go home and google "broken tailbone". I find this picture..

Oh...that's what Napoleon's grandma broke...I really feel for that woman now.
Not to worry, I still can't bend over, walk fast, or move to a seated position easily, but I don't think it's broken. It's feeling a little bit better everyday and, to tell you the truth, I'm really enjoying the extra help and TLC from my family. The kids are so willing to help that I think this may take longer than expected to heal. I've also gained a deeper understanding and patience for little old ladies who take a long time to cross the street...I like to compare my walking pace to them or a 9-month-pregnant woman.
The message here is (1) watch where you step and (2) be grateful you can bend down to pick those dirty socks up off the floor.

EEE-youch !!! Been there, done that ... my sympathies, my Dear ! We were dating and went tubing . Gee, I'm thinking, I am such a fun girl ! I go flying up the little knoll where the tube and I part company ! Blam ! Broken tailbone (coccyx) story circa 1964 !
OUCH! I'd say put ice on it, but there's really no way to do that, is there? Nothing like sympathy help from the fam, though. Milk it for as long as you can. Hope you feel better soon.
Oh no!!! I'm giggling only a little 'cuz I keep saying coccyx.
I hope it feels better soon!!!
Amy- Hello, long time no talk. I am so sorry. I feel so bad for you! At least you are getting some TLC out of it! I hope you get feeling better soon. I was just thinking about you the other day. We need to catch up.
take care of your coccyx!!! :) Hee Hee!
Hope all is better soon!
Toes and Coccyx are the worst to break cause they affect your quality of life with no cast.
At least you are getting sympathy!
Good luck with the milking period!
