For those of you who know the "who's who's" of the Walled Lake Ward, Kathy Utley was released as Primary Pres. and called to be the Stake Primary President. I served as her first counselor for 2 years and in other various callings in the primary since we moved back 5 1/2 years ago. So...guess who got caught by the bishop when we were loading the kids into the suburban after stake conference 2 weeks ago?...just call me President Day! So I'm asking for any good/creative ideas you have seen in your wards for the primary program. Ours is November 18th and I need to write it ASAP! I want to keep it simple, but I still want it to be...entertaining?? Is that okay to say? Maybe enlightening is a better word. Anyway, I will be anxiously waiting for all of your wonderful thoughts and suggestions. And, no, Mel - Hettie Cope is not willing to play circus music for me!:)

Concrats!!!! You will be great at that calling.....That will keep you very busy as if you are not already.
Dang! Circus music is ALWAYS entertaining!
Congrats! You will do great.
Our program is coming up in October-- I'll let you know how enlightening it is!
Congrats, Amy!!! You will do great! Unfortunately, I am teaching in Sunday school right now, but I visit teach a girl next week who is in our Primary Presidency....I'll ask her what they are doing!
I know ours is not written yet as I overheard a conversation between the Pres. and the former music person about the "dang Northville Ward" who not only has theirs done, but has already scheduled the bldg for practices. No self recriminations about waitng til the last minute. There used to be a web site with ideas. If you can get an idea, I can help get it together.
Ahhhh, the primary program . . .man I'm glad I'm not in primary leadership anymore! Ha-HA!
Okay, it's been a while, but if you want to talk shop, give me a call.
Congratulations on the calling - you're perfect!
You will be great at that, Amy! The kids will love you, and the teachers will appreciate your creativity and organization.
The only experience I really have is from observation (I was a teacher for a little while)...reverence is #1 from day 1, and calling a fantastic music person is #2.
Good luck!!
