All -- wanted you to see what made the front page of last week's Oakland Press (our Livonia Observer). Front Page: "What it means to be Mormon." For the most part a good article except for the usual reporter digs. The front page was nearly 3/4 picture of the Detroit Temple.

On Sunday, the editor of Newsweek Magazine came to the Bloomfield Hills 1st ward on a impromptu visit to experience an LDS service. President Pfeiffer happened to be speaking (former Stake President) and gave what I would call the "perfect" sermon on the Plan of Salvation. I'm sure there was complete inspiration in the meeting coordination even though there was no prior knowledge of the visitor. Scott Romney (Mitt's brother) brought her to the meeting and I could visibly see she was impressed and felt welcomed. There is a big rally here on Thursday with Mitt and so the media is crawling everywhere. I'm certain more to follow.
We are Mitt supporters and would love to see him move further in the race. If you want to support now...Mitt needs campaign contributions to keep the process rolling. If you haven't donated and want to (even $10), go to www.mittromney.com and click on "contribute." The "Rally for Romney" kicked off yesterday as a end of September fund raising blitz.

Can this political contribution be deducted from my tithing ? The Campaign called Dad the other day and wanted us to donate (we already donated 50$) but "how about we increase that ? Say, double or triple it this time ? Dad hit the fan ... (ask Suzy !) "I'll give what, when, and how often when you show me some issue resolvement ". Zing ! He later sent them another 50$ on Monday. I'm still looking at Thompson, but basically, whoever stands the best chance of beating Hillary ... there's my vote !
