Playing Dress-Up

The other night for Family Home Evening, we decided to take my wedding dress out of it's
preservation capsule and try it on. It's been tucked away for almost 19 years now, and
I thought it would be fun for the girls (and me) to try it on.

Jeff was out-of-town, so we played dress-up.

Riley went first...she loved the satiny-bottom of the dress.
She wasn't too fond of the "bib" in front, she called it.

Hannah was next, and it fit her perfectly
(except for the top, nothing substantial up there yet).
Hee, hee.

I couldn't believe that I used to be that tiny!
I mean, my hips were as small as my 12-year-olds. Yikes!

There is really no amount of exercise that will get rid of 4 rounds of pregnancy.
I want a complimentary liposuction through Obama's new health plan.

It should be offered to every woman when her family is completed.
A boob job should be thrown in, too.

With the amount of taxes we paid last year, I deserve it.

Here I am cleaning some barbecue sauce off the dress. Seriously.
We found a little stain on it. Remember those little skewers Sister Loosle made
for our appetizer buffet at the reception?

I must have really enjoyed those.

I tried on the dress, too. I'll leave it up to your imagination what it looked like on me.

After my complimentary list of plastic surgery is completed,
I'll try it on again and take a picture.

What a fun post !

I remember being there when you tried on and chose that dress from that little bridal shop on 5th West. We knew from the moment you came out of the dressing booth that this was "the one" !

Pretty then; pretty now !

I don't know why, but the bbq sauce stain is cracking me up!! Only a close second though is Riley's description of the "bib"-- rofl!!

I wonder what Hallie and Maia will say about my dress!?!

You should have used the bib to sop up some of that bbq sauce!! HA!

Seriously though, DEJA VU!! How weird to have your teenage daughters trying on your wedding dress almost 20 years later!!

And who needs plastic surgery when you can have a moment like that!?! So sweet!!
