This week has been a test to see how much I can really juggle
and still be nice to my family.
Task #1: Finish a quilt for my grandmother's 90th birthday.
I'm leaving in 3 hrs. to head to the airport with my parents.
Grammy is celebrating her 90th birthday tomorrow, March 19th, and my mom
and Aunt Teresa have planned a huge party for both her and Pop-Pop tomorrow night
in Salt Lake.
Grammy requested that no gifts be given, but we ignored her and made her a rag quilt.
Riley, Hannah, my mom and I embroidered the names of all her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren on each block of the quilt. And last night I finished piecing it together and cutting the fringe.
Task #2: Enjoy 3 performances of Lakeland's "Wizard of Oz", Friday, Saturday & Sunday
She was also in the chorus as an "Oz"ian, Jitterbug, and a Munchkin.
She was a natural and did a GREAT job!!!
Task #3: Meanwhile....Keep the house clean for 9 showings in 5 days,
including Sunday morning (which gave me bonus points).
We listed our house on Thursday night last week, showed it 3 times on Saturday, 3 times on Sunday, 1 time on Monday, 2 times on Tuesday, and we got an EXCELLENT offer on Tuesday night which we accepted.
The cute (I'm guessing) family of 4 1/2 offered it at our asking price
and we will be closing this chapter of our lives on April 20th.
Task #4: Negotiate (with a smile) with our friends about the purchase of their house.
2251 Ivy Hill Drive is the goal.

Wow!! This is all meant to be!! It looks like a beautiful home, I can't wait to see all the "Amy-Ling" touches when we come this summer. Congrats to you guys!!!
I love the quilt. Grammy is going to cry!! You are so thoughtful, and I love that 3 generations helped put it together.
Congratulations though I'm with Melanie that I will miss Fairgrove. Now how will I find you when I come to visit?
We will miss Fairgrove, too, but PLEASE stop telling me that!!! :) I already feel like I'm abandoning an old friend.
Big props to you for your multi tasking!! And that quilt is awesome!! What a wonderful gift!
Congrat's on selling your home!
xo
Beautiful job on the quilt...she will love it!
And this whole move thing is happening so fast! By the time we see you again you will probably be in your new place...good luck on getting a good price...and congrats on selling!!
Thanks for sharing the pix. I liked your comment that this move closes an unforgettable chapter in the life of the family. We still remember fondly closing up the Golfview home and walking down the driveway for the last time. We had and still have many happy memories of that place.
It will also open another chapter full of love and wonderful new times for the family. Mom and I extend our best wishes that the negotiations and details will all work out.
Ivy Hill is an AWESOME goal! That is such a gorgeous house and you will make it even better! Good luck. Riley is the cutest crow ever and the quilt is beautiful! Have fun in SLC!!
so beautiful, Amy!! All of it; the house, Miss Riley Jane and the quilt!! You are amazing!
Congrats on selling the house! That is so great!! :)
Love the quilt!! Great job! I can't wait for you guys to get into the new house! I talked to Ivonne today and she said that Riley was the most excited that she will get the room with the bathroom! I'm extra glad you are not going too far from me!!!
You're moving?! I didn't check your blog for a little while and I was surprised. That happened fast! Good luck with everything. That looks like a great house!
