Two words to describe our Halloween:
Beauiful Night! Our neighborhood was full of kids running up and down the streets, people chatting, and even bon fires in the driveways with families roasting hot dogs. And, yes, there were those true Michiganders who were eating dinner on card tables in their garages. I just love Michigan!
The weather was PERFECT and it even stayed light out until 6:45!
The kids all went trick-or-treating this year with their friends. Even Alec. He went with the Gantt's who ended up losing him. He was just going too fast! Around 7:30, Jeff got on his bike and found him with Riley & her friends. He was just fine and got a whole bag of loot care of his speediness!
Jeff and I took Ian up and down our street with Scott, Leslie & Adam. My parents stayed at our house - my dad handing out treats with his "tricky" bowl that had a glove in the middle of it that he slipped his hand in. He promised he'd only use it on the big kids. My mom did the dishes. Isn't it great to live near family???

It sounds to me as if Alec lost the Gantts, rather than the Gantts losing him ! These are the kind of stories that appear on the backs of milk cartons.
" Alec Day ... last seen wearing a Ninja costume and speeding north in Commerce Twnshp. Answers to : "Want some candy, Little Boy ?"
Sorry about the deleted comment...I had little helper.
What a PERFECT night! So abnormal for Michigan. The few years we were there we froze our tushies off.
BTW: I love "Ians Quoteables". He totally makes me laugh. What a cute little guy he is.
Gees, thanks alot, Amy!! :) Let's get the story straight, missie!! Yes, Alec decided that the girls were going too slow for him and he kept pace with Riley and Bridgette. They weren't too much further ahead of us as I thought. HOWEVER... we did find him not long afterwards. He stayed with us the rest of the night until he decided he was too tired to go on any longer. And miraculously that's when Jeff showed up on the bike!! I was sure Jeff heard Alec's complaint via ESP or something. Leave it to dad to save the day!! What a great night, wasn't it??? That one will go down in the history books!!
Riley is still too cute to be a bum!
Looks like a great night. There's nothing like kids with a huge bag full of candy :)
So cute! Love the costumes and I was also in love with the awesome weather! It was totally uncharacteristic for MI this time of year!!
I hate to break it to Riley, but she looks more like an adorable teen GAP commercial than a bum.
Cute pics and as always, LOVED the Ian quote!
I'm laughing at Shauna's comment because our next door neighbor, Mike asked me if Riley was Michael Jackson. HA HA HA!!! When I told him she was a hobo, he didn't believe me. :)
reply to sis. gantts comment from Riley:
I will loathe that man forever more. =P :)
