Michigan's apple crop this year has been so disappointing!
We had an early thaw in March where all of our
trees bloomed way to early.
After they bloomed, it got cold again and there went
the apples!
We took a trip to Long's last weekend
and a gallon of cider was $18.00!
We indulged but won't be buying anymore this year.
BUT - apples are much cheaper at Kroger
so we had plenty to make apple crisp
while the big boys were away at Priesthood Session a few weeks ago...
This is one of my favorite fall traditions -
just the girls and little boys for a night of cooking
and some board games, too.

Bummer about the apple crop, but what a "sweet" tradition! I've always wanted one of those peeler thingies. Apple Crisp is one of my favorites!
YUM!
