Grandma Day (Grandpa, too!) came & told stories in both
the boy's classes in May. This is always something
we look forward to...
I would have loved to have been there to share in the experience,
but that was the day I forgot my brain in bed
and decided to weed my garden instead.
ALL day I kept thinking I was forgetting something
and even before I went to sleep that night,
I said to Hannah, "I really feel like I forgot something today!"
Well, at least Ian's teacher was on top of things and
got a picture of BOTH Grandma & Grandpa with Ian -
front row, left corner, green shirt.

I was seriously sick over my absence that day!
I wanted to push the rewind button and start over!!
When I read Linda's email the next morning explaining that she
had such a wonderful time
had such a wonderful time
telling stories in the boys' classrooms, it all came to me
in a flash that THAT was what I had forgotten!
Blah.
All was not lost, though, because Grandma told stories a few days
later at our ward's "Teacher Appreciation Night."
Her part of the program was fabulous, as always,
and she really made the evening memorable.
Here's the centerpieces I made for each table.
I put yellow daisies in the jars once we got to the church.
Thank you, Pinterest!
Ian and Mrs. Heiman
Alec and Mr. Spring - Alec's favorite teacher from 3rd grade.
The teachers that the girls invited couldn't make it,
so they invited Grammy - a teacher and willing
participant. :)
And a very forgiving mother-in-law,
who has probably left her head in bed once or twice herself. :)
