a blustery day.

(taking down the Thanksgiving decorations today...love these!
I love the "turkeys" who created them even more.)

I'm sitting here listening to the cold wind whistling outside my window and the rain hitting the glass. Such a switch from our gorgeous weekend - we were outside all day Saturday!
We put up the Christmas lights and the boys played outside with the neighbors
most of the day. I even did some fall cleanup in the garden beds
and finished the raking. It felt so good to be outside!

But today...I had to bundle up and grab an umbrella just to walk to the mailbox.
Winter is on it's way!

And just in time, because we put up the Christmas tree last night.

I can't say how great it was to have lots of helping hands
while we "fluffed" the tree!
What used to take hours only took about 30 minutes.

I'm also enjoying the gift Shauna brought me all the way from Denver...

a perfect gift for the girl who is always losing her rings! LOL!

It was great to see Shauna, Daren, & Maddi on Friday.
We went to the movies ("Hugo"...a great flick, by the way),
went bowling, and ate dinner at our house while we watched
"American Pickers."

A good weekend always makes a better week...
Happy BLUSTERY Tuesday, Everyone!

I spent Sat. watching "Storage Wars" ... yuuup ! But I love Frank and Mike, too, as well as Danielle, the Tattooed Lady !

It was a beautiful week-end ! What is called "Indian Summer". One year while S&D were living in Chelsea, we had this weather, and Collin was able to have an outdoor B-day party (Dec 3 !) complete w/hot dogs and marshmallows over the bonfire !

Brr!!! I'm glad to hear Fall has given a good fight to old man winter this year!! Hooray for indian summer days-- sure helps when you can get the lights up when your fingers aren't frozen.

I'm so excited for Christmas this year. I think we should do a Christmas Open House Tour on the blogs... what do you say??? I want to see your fluffy tree with all it's pretty trimmings!

I was just saying to Mom yesterday that we should do a Christmas open house this year before we take down all our cute decorations.
