That is my job for the next 2 1/2 months.
Keeping the people happy -
with plenty to do and lots of activities to ward off the dreaded "boredom".
All of the kids had a great school year and I'm so
proud of all that they accomplished.
Both of the girls finished the year with honors,
even Riley with Honors English & AP U.S. History.
Alec made it into the "Bubble Gum Club" in his class,
which means he passed addition, subtraction, multiplication & division
timed tests.
Ian has become a "reader" and some nights I can't get him
to put down his "Magic Tree House" books so he can go to bed!
Some of the favorite projects/activities worth remembering are:
Riley's stick figures of the characters in "Little Women."
Adorable!
And she got a good grade on her presentation, too.

Hannah's last, of 3, middle school choir trips.
This year was to Chicago -
a highlight for her was laying on the glass floor at the top of the Sear's Tower.
Both of my girls LOVED choir at Oak Valley.
It really made middle school fun for them!
Something only a 10-yr-old boy could enjoy:
extracting mouse bones from owl pellets.
Glad I didn't sign-up that day to assist!!
Ian's book that he wrote about Sharks.
He even made a Table of Contents & a Glossary.
My favorite fact that he wrote was:
"Sharks have lots of body parts."
And, lastly, Alec's class studied the constitution.
As part of this unit, they learned to sing the "Preamble".
I think I should send this in to Glenn Beck!

Yes, summer is definitely about keeping the people happy! Love that the kids all finished the year with so many successes. Yay Huron Valley!
Summer is Mom's test ... right ?
Break out the Tupperware popsickle holders, the rdg chart and prizes, the right to sleep on top of the covers, and lunch at Costco !
Is that from School House Rock?!? I'd recognize it anywhere!! Congrats to all of your kids on a great school year!! You all deserve some rest this summer, but I know that's not going to happen in your household!! :-) Have fun!
