1. Spring is officially here! Our street is lined with trees that are bursting with white flowers. It's absolutely gorgeous!!
2. Hannah was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society at school. She was recognized for her grades and her involvement in extracurricular activities, in and out of school. We are so proud of her!
3. I've been busy sewing again. The reason: It's really hard to find dresses for teenage girls that are modest. Most of them barely make it to the middle of their thigh! I brought home the dress Hannah wore in the above pic, thinking it was long enough...and had to add a ruffle to the bottom of it. This is the first time I've sewed a piece of clothing other than a costume. I just hope it holds up in the wash. :)4. Riley went to the Stake Prom last weekend. Once again, I had to lengthen the dress. She looked so pretty and, of course, had a great time. Jeff and I chaperoned again this year...but never made it to the dance floor ourselves - we thought we'd spare Riley the embarrassment.

6. Jeff and I spent Saturday morning at the cannery, trying to stock up on food storage supplies. We are 300 pounds of wheat richer and we rocked the hair nets!
7. Another sewing project...Riley's curtains.
8. A painting project...Hannah's room and the girls' bathroom. I'm loving the necklace holders we hung up!

9. Mother's Day was just perfect - Jeff and the boys cooked me breakfast, the girls spiffed up the house for me, and we had both our moms for dinner that night. The kids showered me with cards and homemade gifts - a pinch pot from Ian and a puzzle from Alec. Ian made me a little book at school entitled, "How Do I Love Thee? Let Me Count the Ways". He said he loved me because I go under the water when we swim and we bake his favorite together - chocolate chip cookies. Saturday night, we went to the Fox Theater with Paul & Linda to see Garrison Keillor do a live radio show, "Prairie Home Companion". I've never seen anything like it before and the show was great! (Good company, too!)
10. AND (saving best for last), Jeff and I leave in the morning for our 20th wedding anniversary trip to EUROPE! Now don't feel sorry for us...we'll just be in Paris and all over Italy for the next 11 days.

Hooray!!
Love all the sewing projects-- I may steal your idea for lengthening dresses. I bought a dress the other day, and ended up wearing it as a skirt instead. Oy!!
Have SO MUCH FUN on your trip! I am so excited for you guys, and I can't wait to see all the pictures of your adventures. That "loving pose in hairnets" needs to be framed for your anniversary!!
:)
