Day 4 was a traveling day. We packed up the car
and headed east towards the Atlantic Ocean side of Florida.
After 4 hours of driving and stopping at some pretty scary
gas station bathrooms (I shared a stall with a cockroach!),
we made it to Cocoa Beach.
We literally ripped our clothes off, threw our suits on,
and headed for the water.
Cocoa Beach is where all of the big cruise ships leave for their
destinations and is also the home of Cape Canaveral Naval Base -
so not only did I watch my kids splash in the water
but I also saw military helicopters and cruise ships go by!
The beach on this side of FL was much different than on the Gulf.
The water was clearer & colder,
and the sand was smooth and white.
Alec REALLY wanted to go out with Jeff and body board,
but he was a bit hesitant after we were told to watch out for
jelly fish. We were also informed to get out of the water by 5:00 pm
because that was "feeding time" for the sharks!
When Jeff & Alec got back in {safely},
we had some fun with the camera...
(and, yes, these pics made me want a new & fancy camera, too!)

After all that jumping,
we went back to our hotel room and ordered
a New York Style Pizza that was so big we had to turn it
sideways to fit through the door.
Oh yeah. That's how we roll!

After seeing "Soul Surfer" I'm afraid to go out too! I love the jumping for joy pics-- nothing like a good vacay to let loose!!
