Big day for me on the work front. Today we officially announced the completion of the acquisition of Tandberg ~ a European, Oslo, Norway based video conferencing company. This $3.6B acquisition has been a big part of the last 6 months of my working life and exciting to say the least (at least if you are a video-file junkie like me ;-)).
I'm in NYC today at an official celebration at Tandberg's offices as part of my new role. I will be responsible for leading our specialists team for the U.S. and Canada. I will be picking up a handful of Tandberg team members in the process as well. Very exciting times and extremely front and center in the company!
If none of this has made much sense...check out this vision video we posted on YouTube today. You can all say perhaps 5 years into the future...I remember when Jeff put that video out about Telepresence....;-). Better yet, many of you will say...I WAS A TELEPRESENCE CHRISTMAS PARTY PIONEER!!!

Congrats Jeff! That's great news! Every time I watch Michael Scott on his phone that shamelessly advertises "Cisco" I think of you!! Srsly though, the Christmas parties have rocked!! Wave of the future!
I've enjoyed all of the video advertising to show very clearly what this technology can do for business. I am both proud and excited for you. All the best as ou navigate the future.
