Alec came home from school yesterday with a very important homework assignment. I knew it was "very important" because he went straight to the computer to complete it BEFORE he got a snack.He was running for an elected office for his class's "Mini-Society" unit.
The problem: He couldn't remember the name of the position he was running for. No matter! He would learn his title after he won the position. Surely, he would be called Mr. President or Chairman or Manager and then he would know exactly what he had been elected to do.
Here's his speech that he wrote and typed by himself:
"There is one thing I forgot. What the person in charge's name is.
Now I get to tell you why I should be that person in charge. I will not boss people around. I am nice when people are stuck on something. I know that my group will think that I am a really, really, really good leader and will not brag.
That is why I should be a good leader."
