If You Give a Mouse a Cookie...

If you give a mouse a cookie, the chocolate chips will remind her of the black roof that needs replacing.

When you replace the roof, it will remind the mouse that winter is coming and her feet will need soft, new carpet to keep them warm.

After you've ordered the carpet, the mouse will realize that the family room needs painting before the carpet is laid.

Just after you've finished the last roller stroke of paint on the family room walls, the mouse will decide that the kitchen needs a new coat of paint, as well.

After the kitchen is looking fresh & new, the mouse will beg you to paint the foyer and upstairs hallway (the paint supplies are already out anyway).

After all that painting and as you are putting all of the furniture back in it's proper place, the mouse will ask you to fix the bookshelf that has been broken for some time.

Once the bookshelf is gorilla-glued and drying, the mouse will remember that the windows need caulking.

When the caulking is complete, the mouse will sit down in her comfy chair and look out the recently caulked window. The mouse will notice how long the grass is after a weekend of rain and will request that the lawn be mowed.

Once the lawn is mowed and looking quite nice, the mouse will decide to make a batch of chocolate chip cookies. Her diligent helper has worked up quite an appetite!!
