Day at the Orchard...Field Trip Style
Last week I had the chance to chaperone Ian's 1st Kindergarten field trip to Spicer's Orchard. It had been threatening rain all week but the weather cooperated and we were able to go. The skies were blue & clear but it was COLD outside! The first item on our agenda for the morning was donuts & cider. YUM! Ian dug right in.
Next, we ran down the hill to the play area. These kids had no idea how cold and windy it was! Ian enjoyed every minute of the fun.

Next we hopped on the hay wagon and bumped along until we reached the pumpkin patch. Ian picked out one for him & then one for me.
Onto the apple orchard, where we each picked a juicy apple. We learned to "reach up, twist & pull!"

Besides an apple that was a bit "TART" (see above pic)...I had a super-great day with my super-great boy! I love this little guy.
