Everyday Stuff

You know you REALLY need to do laundry when your hubby is wearing his "scoop necks."

Ian is walking around the house with a Halloween costume catalog that came in the mail. He takes it everywhere - to bed, to the bathroom, on errands. He even watches TV with it. I have to read it to him every night before bed. We go through each page and we each say which is our favorite costume on that page. He wants me to be Wonder Woman.

Alec got his "school shopping day" yesterday and I bought him a digital watch at the Gap. He's never had a watch before and he's having fun with the timer. On the way home, he timed EVERYTHING - how long it took to walk to the car in the parking lot, how long it took to drive home. He even timed how long it took us to eat dinner.

Jeff has been helping to coach Alec's football team and he was calling out plays in his sleep 2 nights ago...Red Defense! Get out there!!!!

Riley had Freshman Orientation yesterday...it went great and when I picked her up we walked her whole schedule a total of 3 times. She can get to all her classes backward and in her sleep. Here she is getting dropped off...

And, last but not least, Hannah has decided that Libby's picture needs to be entered into a dog photo contest. The winning photos will be put into a 2011 desk calendar. She has been hard at work getting the best picture of Libby she can and it has taken 124 tries (thank goodness for a digital camera).

All of your entertainment is starting school in a week. What are you going to do?

Oh and we got that Halloween catalog too, and the girls are doing the SAME thing!! Maryn has them all bookmarked and cataloged. Her first choice is the Fairy Witch, with the Candy Corn witch in a close second. Avery wants to be the Cleopatra. I hear about it EVERY DAY!!

I vote for The Libby wink photo !

The catalog reminds me of the JC Penney Christmas catalog of toys. Each child posted their initial by the appropriate choice. This made a nervous wreck of Suzanne who thought I might possibly buy her the clock-radio that Shauna had marked. She cleared that right up by marking her choices w/SD ! :o)

Keep on' keepin' on!! The laundry will all get done just in time to take it to the sandy oasis!

I love the Libby wink photo too (great job Hannah!), but I love the one of Riley even more!! I remember drawing lines to all my classes in color order on my Stevenson school map. I hope they all have a great year!

OK, I laughed out loud just at your opening sentence regarding scoop necks. So true.

I use to walk around with the JCPenney Christmas Catalog for like THREE months straight when JCPenney was THE place to get toys:)

Hilarious updates! Does that catalog have a Wall-E costume in it? Jackson is dead set on being that this year and I'm still trying to figure out where to get one!

There is a comedien that has the funniest act referring to those "costumes." for women. Halloween is a legal opportunity for soccer moms to go out in public dressed as a sl**!
Thanks for the funny post!
