First Day...New Schedule

It has been 2 weeks since the kids have started school and this new morning schedule of ours has taken some adjusting! Here's the run-down of what a typical morning at our house is like:

• 5:15 Riley gets up & beautifies
• 5:30 Jeff and I roll out of bed. I proceed to the kitchen to make lunches.
• 5:45 Jeff & Riley leave for seminary...I either stay up or go back to dreamland.
• 7:00 Hannah wakes up & beautifies
• 7:30 Hannah & I eat breakfast together.
• 7:50 Hannah leaves for the bus stop.
• 8:00 Wake up the boys if they aren't already watching Pokemon, Bakugan or SpongeBob.
• 8:40 With Libby on a leash, the boys and I go out to the bus stop together - Libby meets & greets the neighborhood kids.

Here's some pics of the first day of school - Riley 9th (no pics, too early!), Hannah 7th, Alec 3rd, and Ian is in kindergarten. The first day for Ian was a 1/2 day and I got to go with him. I put him and Alec on the bus and then met them at the school.

Getting off...still looking a bit hesitant. These ladies were writing bus numbers with a Sharpie on all of the kid's hands as they were getting off.

Since this first day, Ian goes to school all day/everyday. He has been adjusting well, but is exhausted when he gets home at 4:30. The other kids all love their teachers and had fun seeing all of their friends again after a long summer. And, me, I'm loving a quiet house...I'm pretty good company.
