As I was looking at all of the thoughtful gifts the kids made for me this year, I wanted to share them before they were stored away for safe keeping.
Hannah's creation she made at activity days - I love the colors! She also made the little book with the portrait of me...I'm even smiling in it :)!
Alec was busy, too, at school. This was my favorite page of the little book he made.
Ian was so proud of his little gift. He couldn't keep the secret until Sunday and he told me that I can put it in my drawer to make my clothes "smell new". I love the picture he drew of the two of us with no necks!
These are the little treasures that I tuck away in their keepsake boxes. I'm sure I'll stumble across them again in a few years and remember when they were this little and how much I'm loved. It's great to be a mom!

Dad and I were cleaning "stuff" in the basement as we organized the new shelves, and I found some surprises from long ago ... 3 coupon books with no expiration dates for clean bedrooms, back rubs,
and feeding Grace for a week ! A talk that Ryan gave on Mother's Day was especially funny. He was 15 when he gave it. A letter in a sealed envelope from Suzy said : "I can't believe she (Joyce Freeman ... I recognized the stickers (God rest her soul)is making us write one of these thank you's again."
Kathy says if you speak ill of the dead, you say "God rest her soul" and it's forgiven ... ;o)
