Warning!! Do not try this at home!
Pull-ups should only be worn once and then just thrown away!

I thought I was doing great, getting all of my Monday chores done, until I went to switch the load of darks (of course) to the dryer. Somehow, Ian's pull-up never made it out of the pajama bottoms and into the garbage. Instead, it ended up in millions of little pieces all over the clothes and the washer. I don't know if you've ever seen what these diapers are made of, but when they get wet the inside turns into these little gel pellets that STICK to EVERYTHING! These little pellets hold "water" like the Hoover Dam, but when they get mixed into anything but a baby's bottom they are literally impossible to get rid of!
I spent a good 30 minutes cleaning up the mess, rewashing the load, and figured out that the dryer did a pretty good job of collecting the little pieces of pull-up that I missed.

So, what has ended up in your washer that never should have?? Please share!

I'm constantly finding little trinkets and pieces of random junk in the bottom of the washer from the pockets of my little hoarder, Maryn. She's saving it all up to line a nest with one day, I think. And the pull-up thing has happened to me before too. Just what you wanted to spend a whole 30 minutes doing, huh?
Ahhh, yes ! The "Opening of the Washer" surprise !
A game played by Mothers everywhere.
My best one was right after Jeff was born, and when I opened Door #1, I found I had left Shauna's red velveteen dress in the washer after the previous load, and piled in the next ... diapers ! I had 3 dozen pink diapers to put on my little manly man !
When I'm lucky, I come out with really, really clean dollar bills and sometimes some change. When I'm not lucky, I end up with ballpoint pen marks on all my clothes.
