Today is what I call a "blah" day. The first sign of this kind of day is that I don't want to go anywhere and I stay in my pajamas until after lunch.
I didn't mean for the day to go downhill like it did. I had good intentions of going to the gym to workout, and I probably should have. The days that I do get there I feel so much better for the rest of the day. I even eat better when I exercise.
8:30 - I got the kids off to school and turned on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for Ian. I told him that when that was over we were going to Lifetime. That never happened. I glanced at the calendar and realized that today was the day I had to get online and book our camping reservation for Labor Day weekend - exactly 6 months away. After about an hour I secured site #53. Jeff will be so happy - it's right next to the stairs that lead to the beach and our boat can just be driven right onto the site because it is on a corner.
9:30 - I decided that Ian and I should watch our camping DVD's from years previous. I was getting excited to go again. We snuggled and enjoyed an hours worth of home videos.
10:30- Ian and I headed down to the basement. I picked up and vacuumed while he played rescue heros. I also got on Jeff's computer to check my email. Note - I'm still in my pajamas.
11:45 - We headed upstairs to eat a delicious and nutritious lunch of mac-n-cheese and applesauce. Mine was fancied up with salsa....yummmmm.
12:30 - Main floor vacuumed, bed made, played rescue heros with Ian, and showered!
2:00 - Left the house and headed for West Bloomfield Library. I thought that Ian could play while I tried to finish the book for book club tonight. We are reading "Three cups of tea" and let me tell ya, it's a slow read - especially when you are in the youth section right next to the puppet theater.
4:00 - Picked up Hannah & Alec from school and Riley from Spanish Class. Sat and read during Hannah's ballet class while simultaneously keeping the boys happy in the waiting area.
5:30 - Played chef, tutor and piano teacher so that I could get out the door by 6:45 to go to book club. That never happened. Riley forgot her science book at school, Ian was grumpy, Alec was whiny, and Hannah tried to be helpful, bless her heart. And of course, Jeff is out-of-town.
7:00 - Book club, with me absent.
7:30 - Reviewing my blah day...Tomorrow will be more exciting (I'm promising myself). I'm going visiting teaching, Ian has school, and I WILL workout, even if it is after lunch.
8:00 - So, in honor of my blah day, I treated myself to a "no bath" night for everyone who requires help with that and American Idol...it may turn out to be a not-so-bad day after all!

Hey I saw that your high temperature for the day was 16 degrees (feels like 4 degrees). I think I would have stayed in my jammies all day too.
Jammies all day sounds divine to me!! I say go for it!
Ditto Marianne!
For your health and safety at 4 degrees, I think a pajama day is prescribed for sure!
I have had waaaayyyy too many PJ days lately...and they turn into PJ days for Braeden, too--so not only do I sit in my own filth...I make my child do it, too! :) The other day we had a plumber here doing some work at our house, and I was having a PJ day and I was apologizing to the plumber that I was still in my PJ's!!! What the heck does he care?! :)
