My Little "Peanut" off to Peanut Patch Preschool (which is peanut free!)

I know...it's too much! New shoes, a Thomas backpack, nervous smile...MY BABY IS IN PRESCHOOL! What makes it even worse is that he went right in, didn't even look back. Now, I'm glad he wasn't crying hysterically, peeking through the window in their door, like little Ashley in his class. But a little uncertainty on his part would have made me feel a bit more needed. However, my feelings of being neglected went right away as I browsed through Home Goods, then Kohl's, then DSW, then....all by myself! At this rate, I could be a woman with pedicured feet without having to trade babysitting or paying one. All of sudden I'm feeling quite liberated! And I feel even more liberated when I look at a newborn, cute & soft & warm & irresistable as they are, and think "I'm done with that" or "I'm so glad I'm not the mom!" So, on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:15-11:45 think of me...ALL ALONE! And for the rest of the week, 24/7, think of me with my favorite little buddy at Costco, then Meijer, then Kroger, then...

Amy, that is bittersweet! Alas, the day has finally come!! I'm happy for you and your newfound freedom and polished toes!! That second pic of Ian is a total Jeff-face! He is such a cute little peanut.

he is so cute....Do you really call him "little peanut"? That is what we have always called Gracie..because she is so...small. Gracie just started school as well and I felt the same as you. Bitter, Sweet Huh? I just laughed about the punpkin soup......that was such a mess!!!!!!
