Lessons on Friendship

Near the end of the school year,
Ian got to be really good friends with a boy in his class named Andrew.

That friendship turned into Ian getting into trouble -
forgetting that he was in school and not on the playground.

One day it got really out of hand at lunch and Ian choked Andrew at the lunch table. They were wrestling (while eating - good choice, huh???!!) and they both got in trouble with the lunch ladies.

Ian's teacher called me that day after school to let me know what happened, so Ian and I decided that he needed to write an apology note to his buddy.
Here's what Ian wrote:

He gave Andrew the note, and here's what Andrew wrote back:

What can we learn here?

Be as forgiving as a kindergartener to those you love & you'll never lose a friend!

I especially love the smiley illustrations!! Every friendship should endure a little choking, eh?

Thank you for the lesson!!
