i {heart} my family

This morning Ian said the "handkerchief" in his mouth hurt! It was so cute that I didn't even tell him it was a "canker sore".

He also gave me a kiss on the cheek, a hug, and 4 pennies for my birthday.

Alec cleaned the kitchen for my birthday after our party last night, so sweet. He also wrote the most hilarious book at school entitled, "The 3 Bad Men Who Forgot to tie-up Their Boats". He had Jeff and I laughing until we cried! I also learned that he wants to move to Arizona someday and travel to Italy because that is where Jeff served his mission.

Hannah will always do most anything I ask her, from walking the dog, to emptying the dishwasher, to helping me prepare for a Primary sharing time. On Friday, she made the cookies for me that we had to take to Riley's piano recital the next morning, and on Saturday, she put together all 45 Father's Day Games we passed out to the kids at church the next day. I don't know what I'd do without her!

I'm picking up Riley from school today and then we are going straight to the "Secretary of State"! She'll have a driver's permit when we get home! Her piano recital was on Saturday, and she played her songs beautifully. I appreciate her love for that instrument and the music she fills our home with.

I am blessed to have these little people in my life...who aren't so little any more.

My one birthday wish was to have Jeff take the day-off and spend it with me...so we golfed (my idea) 9 holes in the morning, which was so much fun even though it was drizzling the whole time. We came home, cleaned up, and went to the movies. I picked the flick - "Letters to Juliet" and he didn't even complain that it was a love story/girlie movie. Later, we took the kids to Samurai Steakhouse for dinner and had hibachi steak, chicken, shrimp & veggies. Delicious! The boys loved watching the chef throw around knives and play with fire. We ended the day with karaoke and cake & ice cream with the rest of the family. It was a PERFECT DAY, spent with all of the people I love!

Love it! I will second Alec's thoughts on moving to AZ. :)

Of course I don't think you'll ever want to leave that gorgeous house.
