I caught Ian playing with this creche the other day. He had the three kings zooming around the kitchen on his matchbox cars, and Mary, Joseph, and the baby Jesus were thrown in a box wtih his other cars. When I discovered his game, I asked him to please put my pretty things back where they go. Well, I got sidetracked and later found that he had done just what I had asked, except I didn't find them in the exact way I had originally set them out. He had rearranged the pieces so that they all faced the baby Jesus in a circle...hence, the picture above. It made me smile that he knew what Christmas was all about. I just love that little guy!

Ian's Arrangement

Love the whole "very little Christmas" look to the blog and the banner is terrific. Must be the Christmas card shot ! But, especially, love this "circle of love" interpretation of the creche. Bless his heart !

That's so cute. I sure miss that house. Ethan currently has our playmobil nativity surrounded by knights, pirates and animals. I'm not sure if they are supposed to be worshiping baby Jesus or if they are protecting him or something else. Ian is sure one smart little cookie!
